Visiting the Great Synagogue of Copenhagen
The Great Synagogue of Copenhagen is quite remarkable, because of its unique architecture. Since 1833 it has been the center for Jewish life in Denmark. The Copenhagen Synagogue was built from 1830-1833, designed by architect and professor G. F. Hetsch in semi-oriental classic style.
We will do a few stops during the tour, where you have the opportunity to sense the atmosphere of Copenhagen’s historic city centre.
During this tour you will also see other Copenhagen landmarks such as:

- The historic Round Tower
- Christiansborg Palace, The Parliament
- Strøget, the main pedestrian street

Visiting the Danish-Jewish Museum
We will also visit the Danish-Jewish Museum ”Mitzvah” to learn more about Jewish history in Denmark.
In the museum, your guide will share her personal stories about the miraculous rescue of 7,000 Danish Jews in 1943.
The tour ends in the city center.
